Officials from the I-69 Ohio River Crossing have shared an updated list of the several traffic restrictions currently underway in Kentucky, along with restrictions that will begin in the coming weeks.

Kentucky Lane Restrictions Currently Underway

  • Southbound US 41 Lane Restriction: A single-lane restriction on southbound US 41 from KY 351 to Audubon Parkway is expected to last through at least the end of May.
  • Northbound US 41 Lane Restriction: A single-lane restriction on northbound US 41 at the KY 351/2nd Street overpass bridge is expected to continue through at least late April to complete pavement work on the approach to the US 41 overpass bridge.
  • Daily Lane Closures: Daily lane closures at multiple locations along northbound and southbound US 41 between KY 425 and US 60 are expected for several weeks as work continues on panel signs, lighting, guardrails, asphalt paving, final grading, and seeding.
  • US 60 Lane Shifts: Lane shifts along US 60 will remain as work on the new US 60 interchange continues.

Upcoming Kentucky Lane Restrictions and Traffic News

  • US 60 Traffic Shift: Traffic is expected to shift and begin using the new pavement on the roundabouts under construction on April 11th and 12th
  • KY 2084 Overpass Demolition: Overnight closures of northbound and southbound US 41 are expected in Mid-April, and additional rolling roadblocks may be needed.
  • Airline Road Bridge Closure: The Airline Road overpass bridge over US 41 is expected to close on or after Monday, April 21, and remain closed for a few months. The planned detour will utilize Garden Mile Road. Crews hope to have the bridge reopened by the start of the new school year in August.
  • Adams Lane Bridge: Significant improvements are also being made at the Adams Lane overpass bridge over US 41. Work started in December, and the bridge is expected to reopen by mid to late May.
