Burger Chain I’ve Never Even Heard of Continues KY Expansion
Right off the bat, I will inform you that I have GREATLY reduced my intake of red meat. I mean, I hardly ever eat beef or pork anymore. But that doesn't mean I won't indulge every once in a great while.
And despite the fact that the item that caused me to all but give it up was an AMAZING sirloin, it's a hamburger that will bring me back from time to occasional time. Look, I'm like everyone else...there's scarcely anything much better than a really good hamburger. And it REALLY has to be a grand slam home run for me to "break over."
Kentucky Burger Franchising Continues Expansion
Coincidentally, I just name-checked a franchise that just might make me do that.
Yes, it's called Home Run Burgers, and I've never even heard of it. But this satisfied reviewer has:
Where to Find Home Run Burgers
As you saw, Home Run is not JUST about burgers. Fish sandwiches and hotdogs are also among the offerings, and they're HALF as good as the burgers look, the franchise COULD change its name to Grand Slam Home Run Burgers. That franchise, by the way, is expanding once again. In addition to Louisville-area locations like Middletown, Outerloop, Old Louisville, and Stonybrook, a fifth Home Run Burger is set to open in July at a former KFC in Fern Creek on Bardstown Road.
A Little Home Run Burger History
Launched in 2008, Home Run Burgers was eventually sold to entrepreneur Ratneshwar Jha. There were three restaurants at the time of that purchase, but Jha indicates that 10 to 20 more are on their way.
The Heater, the Smokehouse, Bacon and Bleu, and the incredibly tantalizing Reuben Burger are just some of the taste-tempting offerings on the Home Run menu.
Louisville is a wonderful destination for foodies; I hear about new restaurants all the time. But this is the first CHAIN--and a rapidly-expanding one, at that--that has gone completely unnoticed...by me, anyway.
I look forward to correcting that sooner rather than later.
