Winter returns today  & sticks around into next week. Looks like some snow will develop FRI night, but mix with or change to rain SAT, then end as all snow SAT night/SUN morning.

The Evansville Police Department has issued a plea for the public's help in locating a missing Evansville woman. 49 year-old Kimberly Furman of Evansville was reported missing by her husband on December 27th. She was last seen around noon on December 26th when she left her home near Broadway and Ray Barker. She is described 5'7", approximately 190 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a white Tommy Hilfeger coat and blue jeans. You can see her picture here at my1053wjlt.com.

As federal employees are furloughed due to the government shutdown, Fazoli's has decided to lend a helping hand. Now through Sunday, January 13th, Fazoli's is inviting all of those furloughed employees who are missing paychecks a free pizza baked spaghetti entree with the purchase of a drink. All employees have to do is present an ID, according to a press release from the company. There is a limit of one meal per eligible guest a day.

It Takes a Village has put out an URGENT CALL FOR FOSTERS! They are receiving multiple requests for help from partner shelters and are at capacity! It is National Law Enforcement Day and you can show your support in a number of ways:

  • Wear blue clothing in support of law enforcement.
  • Send a card of support to your local police department or state agency.
  • Share a story about a positive law enforcement experience on social media.
  • Ask children in your community to write letters in support of law enforcement.
