Evansville No-Kill Rescue German Shepherd Adoption

It Takes a Village is a no-kill shelter, and that is amazing. Unfortunately, they are usually full of sweet dogs and cats that need a loving home.

This week we want to help Rex find his perfect family. He is a 2-year old German Shepherd with a lot of energy. Rex isn't a diva, but he does need to be the only pet in the house. Our friends at ITV also tell us that Rex needs a home that doesn't have small children.

Maybe your family is allergic or you just can have a pet right now, there are plenty of ways to help It Takes a Village.

Transport dogs to and from appointments as well as help us run errands
Train dogs that haven’t been given an obedience foundation
Help walk dogs and clean kennels
Assist with and plan fundraisers and adoption events

Then & Now - Evansville's Washington Square Mall Through the Years

Evansville is home to a lot of unique buildings including the first enclosed retail shopping center in Indiana. Yes, our very own Washington Square Mall was the place to be when it opened in 1963. If you walk through the mall today, you would never guess how alive the shops were, even through the 1980s. Enjoy this walk down memory lane I've put together, and maybe someday there will be new life inside 5011 Washington Ave.
