Thanks to Google Maps or Google Earth, we can go back in time just a bit, and see what West Franklin Street used to look like. It would be really cool to find old photographs or Polaroids of the different streets in Evansville, and then compare what they look like now.

The West Side Nut Club organizes and sponsors a mammoth Fall Festival the first full week in October every year. This week-long gala on Franklin Street offers entertainment, carnival attractions, over 130 food booths, amateur talent competitions, and on the last day, a huge parade. This event attracts over 200,000 people to the West Side & is considered to be one of the largest street festivals in the United States. Don't miss out on the half-pot drawing. Last year's total was $1,639,870. Half of which funded dozens of local programs for kids and more.
