See How West Franklin Street in Evansville has Changed Over the Years
As the Nut Clubbers prepare West Franklin Street for the Best Fall Festival in America, I thought it would be fun to take a look at how this popular street has changed over the years.

Thank You Google Maps
Thanks to Google Maps or Google Earth, we can go back in time just a bit, and see what West Franklin Street used to look like. It would be really cool to find old photographs or Polaroids of the different streets in Evansville, and then compare what they look like now.
Of course, Franklin Street is really popping now that has been freshened up. The Google camera car needs to come back and update the enter street!

The West Side Nut Club organizes and sponsors a mammoth Fall Festival the first full week in October every year. This week-long gala on Franklin Street offers entertainment, carnival attractions, over 130 food booths, amateur talent competitions, and on the last day, a huge parade. This event attracts over 200,000 people to the West Side & is considered to be one of the largest street festivals in the United States. Don't miss out on the half-pot drawing. Last year's total was $1,639,870. Half of which funded dozens of local programs for kids and more.
