EVSC Proposed 2020-2021 Calendar Reduces Fall Break to One Day

The Evansville Vanderburgh County School Corporation released the updated 'Proposed' 2020-2021 calendar, following Monday's school board meeting. It's important to note that not all students will begin school on the same day. The school system is staggering start days, so that students and teachers will be able to adjust to the new protocols. This staggered start also applies to students attending Virtual Academy.

• Students with last names A-J attend on August 19-21
• Students with last names K-Z attend August 24-26

If school needs to be canceled, students will have a virtual learning day. That's why there are no snow makeup days built in. For the first time since 2016, Fall Break is just one day.
