Evansville's Boom Squad is planning a trip to Disney World next week for a performance at Epcot Center on Wednesday, however their a little short on their fundraising goal, and need your help to close the gap.

You've likely seen the Boom Squad perform at various sporting events and parades in the Evansville area over the years. The drum corp and dance troupe is made of kids between the ages of 4 and 17, and they rock!

According to their official website, the 501(c)(3) non-profit "focuses on delinquency prevention, academic achievement, and family development by providing an arts-based percussion program. The program provides percussion training, early intervention, community involvement, role modeling, social support, and educational experiences to combat juvenile delinquency and negative attention in the school system."

Boom Squad representative, Nichole Williams says many of the students in the program have never been on a trip outside the state of Indiana, much less Disney World. Understandably, they're super excited about the opportunity.

Williams told us over the phone, the cost for tickets, hotel, and round-trip bus ride is nearly $60,000, a majority of which they've been able to raise thanks to the generocity of the Tri-State through a GoFundMe account. However, they're still $8,000 to $9,000 shy of their goal with only a few days left before they're schedule to leave.

This is where you come in. Visit the GoFundMe page, and make any monetary donation you're comfortable giving. Let's help get these well-deserving kids to Disney World so they can share their talents with the world.
