Evansville’s 1st Annual BBQ Festival

Be sure to save the date for Evansville's 1st Annual BBQ Festival coming this August!

As part of the 2019 Evansville HydroFest on the Ohio River (Aug. 16-18) Evansville will host its first masters-level bbq competition sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society on Saturday, August 17th along Riverside Drive between Court and Main Streets.

The competition will attract barbeque professionals from all over the USA with a wide variety of bbq types and flavors.  Competitors will compete for prize money with categories including pork ribs, pork butt, chicken, and brisket.

Judging will take place on Saturday afternoon along with a ticketed sampling event for the public.  After the bbq competition, the public will be able to purchase larger meal and take-out portions.  More details coming.

BBQ sampling event details, entertainment, and ticket information will also be coming soon.

To enter the Master Series BBQ Competition, the fee is $195 and $295 for double-wide.  Purse information will be forthcoming.
