Movies + Museum? Yes, Please!

The Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science is bringing back its popular *Movies at the Museum* series—and the rest of the 2026 lineup is officially here. If you’ve never been, this isn’t your typical movie theater experience. You’re watching some of your favorite films right inside one of Evansville’s most iconic spots along the riverfront.

It’s a unique way to mix a little culture with a lot of fun, and honestly, it’s perfect whether you’re planning a family night, a date night, or just looking for something different to do around town.

 A Lineup for Everyone

The rest of this year’s schedule has a little bit of everything—from feel-good favorites to big-screen adventures and even some powerful stories:

  • April 18 – Apollo 13
  • May 23 – Rocky
  • June 27 – Inside Out
  • July 11 – National Treasure
  • August 15 – Guardians of the Galaxy
  • September 12 – Toy Story
  • October 17 – The Hunger Games
  • November 21 – All Quiet on the Western Front
  • December 19 – Elf

So whether you’re in the mood to laugh, cry, or cheer on a hero, there’s something on this list for you.

More Than Just a Movie Night

What makes this series really special is the atmosphere. You’re not just watching a movie you’re experiencing it in a setting that celebrates art, history, and science all at once. It’s part of the museum’s mission to bring the community together in creative and engaging ways, and this series definitely delivers on that.

Plus, it’s a great excuse to explore the museum itself while you’re there. From interactive science exhibits to incredible art and regional history, there’s plenty to check out before or after the show.

Plan Your Visit

Showtimes and ticket details can vary, so it’s a good idea to check the museum’s website or social media before you go. The museum is open Thursday through Sunday, and admission is pretty affordable plus, members get in free.

If you’re looking for something new to do in Evansville this year, this might just be your next favorite tradition.
