Like everything scheduled for 2020, the annual barbecue fundraiser for the Cops Connecting with Kids Disney trip was pushed back due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The good news here is, the fundraiser is still on, just a little later in the year than originally planned.

Orders have been taken for barbecued ribs, pulled pork butt, and pork tenderloins, all cooked to perfection by the Newburgh BBQ Coalition. According to the flyer posted on the non-profit's Facebook page, a limited amount of full pork butts will also be available by walk up only.

Pick up will happen Saturday, September 12th and Sunday the 13th, in the parking lot of the east side Walmart on Burkhardt Road.

Proceeds from the sale will go toward funding the group's annual trip to Disney World in Orlando which takes children from seven Evansville schools who exhibit good decision making, and are overall good citizens, but who's families may not be able to afford the trip themselves.
