Get Ready For Sandwiches At The New Caseys Deli
COMING SOON TO LINCOLN AVENUE:
Casey’s Dugout has always been a local favorite but now it's getting a whole lot better and meatier. If you’ve walked into Casey’s Dugout recently and thought, “Okay… something is definitely happening in here,” you’re not wrong.
Maybe you've noticed the deli case. The new wall. Tables moving around.
And maybe caught yourself speculating a little.
Let’s talk about what's coming.
First Things First: No, It’s Not Pizza
Starting this March, Casey’s Dugout will begin opening for lunch a few days a week.
And before rumors run wild — no, it’s not pizza, y’all.
Casey's Dugout is opening a sandwich shop! Casey's Deli will now be a part of Casey's Dugout.
A Simple Idea (The Best Ones Usually Are)
Their goal was easy:
They are a true neighborhood lunch spot. Something to grab-to-go if you’re short on time, which let's be honest, many of us are, or maybe you're trying to stay away from fast food. If you're not in a hurry no worries you can always sit down and stay awhile.
This whole idea is inspired by the places many of Evansville locals grew up on like Maxine’s off Green River Road — just reimagined for Lincoln Avenue and the east side.
Sandwiches piled high. No frills. Just done right.
So, The Important Question: What’s on the Menu?
Here’s a sneak peek at what Casey's Deli is bringing to the table:
- Reubens stacked with corned beef and Swiss on marbled rye
- Pastrami
- Muffalettas
- Italian subs
- BLTs
- Grinders and clubs
- Chicken salad, potato salad, and fresh vegetables
- Shrimp cocktail
- The occasional lobster roll
- Feta mousse (I don't know what feta mousse is but it sounds fire)
Hungry yet? Yeah, same.
About That Bread and Those Meats
Casey's Deli is sourcing local bread and using only premium meats like prosciutto, capicola, salami, pepperoni, ham, turkey, the kind of quality that makes your mouth water. This isn’t a New York deli. It’s a neighborhood lunch spot — built for Lincoln Avenue.
Behind the Scenes: A Lot of Late Nights
Russ, Bissy, Blake, and of course Casey, have been grinding behind the scenes — long days, late nights — shaping the menu and the space with the men and women of Evansville in mind. And from the look of the Facebook comments it means a lot to locals and can't wait to support Casey and his team.
One Last Thing (And a Thank You)
Casey's Dugout expect to have more details soon, but we wanted to share what’s coming and what to expect. Casey's, thanks YOU for two incredible years of support at Casey’s Dugout. And they're hoping this little lunch spot gets that same kind of love.
Casey’s Deli, y’all. It's coming!
