The Coronavirus lockdown has caused movie theaters around the world to shutdown which means a lot movies will miss their theater debuts. So the higher ups at movie distribution companies like NBC/Universal and Sony have decided to give Amazon Prime permission to stream many of the movies on their theater release dates.

Amazon Prime has created the Amazon Prime Video Cinema hub where you can rent movies like The Invisible Man, The Hunt, or the latest adaptation of Emma that were scheduled to be released in theaters right now for $19.99. Just like most On-Demand features with most cable companies, the rentals are good for up to 48-hours and can be watched as many times as you like. Other movies will also be available for download purchase like Margot Robbie’s Birds of Prey, and Ben Affleck’s The Way Back.

So until we get the 'all-clear' to go back to the movie theaters, grab you some microwave pop-corn, turn on your surround sound and enjoy the cinema from the comfort of your living room.
