So. Indiana YMCA Offers a Variety of Fun One-Day Spring Break Camps

Spring break can mean different things for parents of younger students. It could mean you're finalizing plans for a family vacation somewhere. A trip that, let's face it, will probably be more stressful than relaxing for the parents. The other likely scenario is that there is NO vacation plan. You'll be at work all week, which means you've got to find something for your kiddo(s) to do. Here comes the YMCA to the rescue!

The Dunigan Family YMCA on Evansville's east side is offering a few 1-day camps over Spring Break - it's a perfect way to make their time off from school both fun and memorable. These camps are open to YMCA members and non-members. Here are the camps your kids can choose, along with dates, times, cost, and other details.

Monday, March 24th - Basketball Camp

This camp gives boys and girls between the ages of 6-14 the chance to improve their basketball skills, with a focus on dribbling, shooting, passing, and team play. The basketball camp will be from 9am-12n on Monday, March 24th. The cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. REGISTER HERE.

Monday, March 24th - Volleyball Camp

During this camp, players will participate in daily fundamental volleyball skill work, camp contests, and indoor volleyball games. The volleyball camp will be from 5pm-7pm on Monday, March 24th. The cost is $40 for members and $50 for non-members. REGISTER HERE.

Wednesday, March 26th - Ninjanastics Camp (Lil' Ninjas)

Ninjanastsics is a class that mixes gymnastics, tumbling, parkour, and the thrill of American Ninja Warrior into a fun program while combining tumbling, climbing, getting through obstacles, and even some flips to increase body awareness, coordination, agility, and motor skill levels. The Lil' Ninja class is from 9am-11am on Wednesday, March 26th. The cost is $65 for members and $90 for non-members. REGISTER HERE.

Wednesday, March 26th - Ninjanastics Camp (Ninja Masters)

This class is the same program as above but is meant for older "ninjas" who might have a bit more experience. The Ninja Masters class is from 12n-2pm on Wednesday, March 26th. The cost is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. REGISTER HERE.

Friday, March 28th - NERF Battle Camp

Who doesn't love a good old-fashioned NERF battle? This camp lets you play a variety of NERF-related games. Recruit your team and come to the Y ready some serious NERF combat! This camp is broken up into two age groups.

• The 6-10 year-old camp is from 9am-11am on Friday, March 28th. The cost is $30 for members and $40 for non-members. REGISTER HERE.
• The 10-14-year-old camp is from 11:30am-1:30pm on Friday March 28th. The cost $30 for members and $40 for non-members. REGISTER HERE.

Remember that all of these camps take place at the Dunigan Family YMCA, located at 6846 Oak Grove Road, on the eastside of Evansville. This location, along with the downtown YMCA offer a bunch of different camps, classes, and programs throughout the year.
