Who didn't grow up loving Nerf guns?  Remember shooting your siblings with foam darts and constantly getting yelled at by your parents to "STOP SHOOTING YOUR SISTER!"  Or was that phrase mainly from my house?  Either way kids love Nerf guns, and the YMCA is now offering a Nerf Battle class for kids 6-14 years old.

The new class was announced on YMCA of Southwestern Indiana's Facebook page:

We are excited to announce our new Nerf Battle class which begins in January (6-14 yr). Participants are split into two squads (Red or Blue) and play a variety of games weekly during their one hour class session. Interested? See your local front desk recruiter and enlist to secure your spot in our special Nerf Forces Squad . . . then call your friends to the battle as part of your Special Ops Team. YMCA Sports Academy Staff Team Captains/Refs are onsite to insure safety and fun play! Class size limited to 16 kids. Eye protection is required and be sure to bring your own trusty Nerf Blaster.
Class will consist of weekly games including Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Team Elimination, Rescue the General, Coaches vs Kids, etc. Registration opens in December.

In the meantime, the sports department is collecting old old Nerf blasters, ball and/or darts. If you have old ones that you would like to donate please drop them off at the Dunigan YMCA care of the sports department.
