Winnecke’s Traveling City Hall Previews 2018 Road Improvement Projects
Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke, along with various city officials, hosts a Traveling City Hall on the last Wednesday of each month. This month's meeting (tonight) will preview some road improvement projects coming up in 2018.
Mayor Winnecke will open the meeting with introductions and public announcements. City Engineer Brent Schmitt will give a status report on streetscape projects along North Main Street and near the downtown medical school campus. Schmitt will review 2018 paving projects currently under contract, share plans for road diet projects starting late next summer on Weinbach and Covert avenues, and preview the roundabout project coming to Haynie’s Corner in 2020.
Mayor Winnecke and city department heads will be available to talk one-on-one with residents about issues involving local government following a presentation.
The Traveling City Hall will begin at 5:30pm at Evansville's Central Library located at 200 SE Martin Luther King Blvd in downtown Evansville.
