You have to agree that the duo of Daryl Hall & John Oates is on a very short list of the most iconic musical acts of the 1980s. The fact that they are the best-selling duo of all time pretty much cements it. After making music together for 50 years, the two of them show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Daryl Hall is preparing to hit the road on his first solo tour in more than a decade. He is coming to Evansville and we are giving away tickets all this week. Keep reading to find out how to win.

Daryl Hall's tour follows the release of his first-ever solo retrospective, an album called BeforeAfter, which features 30 tracks from all five of his solo albums and other projects. BeforeAfter also features six never-released performances from Hall's web series Live From Daryl's House, including a recording of the Eurythmics classic “Here Comes The Rain Again,” performed with the song’s co-writer and Hall’s longtime friend and collaborator, Dave Stewart.

Hall will be joined on stage by the Daryl's House Band. Hall's longtime friend, collaborator, and fellow Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, Todd Rundgren will be the special guest for this tour. Rundgren is best known for songs like 1972's "Hello It's Me," 1978's "Can We Still Be Friends," and the 1982 favorite "Bang the Drum All Day."

How to Win Tickets!

It is one of our simplest contests to win, but it does take a bit of dedication. In order to win a pair of Daryl Hall concert tickets this week, you will need to be the First Caller of the Day. The name says it all - just a few minutes after 5am, we will ask you to be the First Caller of the Day (by calling 812-421-1117) to answer our question of the day. If you can do that, you will not only win Daryl Hall tickets, but you will also win a pair of combo passes to the Old Courthouse Catacombs & the House of Lecter.

10 Bands from the 80s that Played Evansville's Mesker Music Amphitheater

It doesn't have to be a Throwback Thursday to talk about Mesker Music Amphitheatre, or if you grew up in Evansville, you can just refer to it as Mesker. Concert enthusiasts really had it made when Mesker hosted shows.
