Did you know the band is from the Tri-State? Yep, the band was formed while those fellas were attending the University of Illinois in Champaign.
The band's name was inspired by a vehicle from the early 1900s. The REO Speed Wagon is considered the world's first pickup truck. It was named after Ransom Eli Olds, the founder of the Oldsmobile automobile company.
