[UPDATE] Sgt. Todd Ringle from the Indiana State Police has reported that the suspect has been taken into custody.

Authorities in Southern Indiana have joined a pursuit that began with Federal Marshals in Illinois. Get the latest here. The EvansvilleWatch Facebook page shared the following information about the situation:

Pursuit- Area of Interstate 64 at 36mm (Warrick county, between Elberfeld & Lynnville). Pursuit started in Illinois where Federal Marshals were involved. Indiana State Police was in pursuit of the vehicle until the vehicle was stopped by stop sticks. Male ran southbound on foot and is possibly armed. Male has warrants and was involved in a barricaded subject incident. K9 & Air Support en route. If you are in the area, keep all home & car doors locked. Avoid area.

According to EvansvilleWatch, a drone has also been deployed to assist in the pursuit. The suspect is reported to have a tattoo in cursive writing on his neck, along with three tattoos on his face. He is wearing a brown coat. There doesn't seem to be any more information about the suspect at this time.

The best thing to do at this point is to avoid that area if at all possible. If you, or someone you know, works or lives in that area, it probably wouldn't hurt to stay inside and lock your doors.
