The Screaming Eagles Men's Basketball team brings in a new graduate assistant coach to fill the void left behind after former assistant, Blake Woodard, departed to take an assistant job at Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois.

Clinton Happe joins Coach Rodney Watson's staff after completing his bachelor's degree in business management at McKendree University where he also played for four seasons, averaging just over 11 points, nearly 2.5 rebounds, and just under two assists per game. Happe, and Evansville native, and Reitz High School graduate also earned two Academic All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors during his time at McKendree.

In a press release provided by the university, head coach Rodney Watson said they are very fortunate to have Happe on staff, adding that, "Clinton's energy and enthusiasm will be a huge asset to USI basketball."

He went on to say Happe's responsibilities will include academic support for players, basketball operation, scouting, floor coaching during both practices and games, as well as game preparation.

Happe will balance those duties while also pursuing a master's degree in business administration.
