Would You Kiss A Dog For A Thousand Bucks An Hour
Would You Do This Job?
Let me start by saying this is in New York but maybe this is something you would do? This company is offering to pay you $1,000 an hour to smell dog breath. If you think about it I guess it really is a legitimate job? But where do we draw the line from it being weird?
This might be the weirdest job posting I've seen in a while. However, this is why it's a thing. A New York-based dog food subscription company is looking to hire two very special people, and yes, the pay is as wild as the job description.
They're talking up to $1,000 an hour to either smell dogs’ breath or accept dog kisses. Doesn't sound that bad now does it?
But, seriously.
The company, Spot & Tango, is promoting its dental chew called PupGum, which is supposed to help freshen dog breath at the source. So to put it to the test, they want real humans hanging out in New York City dog parks, getting up close and personal with pups.
One person’s job would be to sniff out the freshest (or funkiest) dog breath in the park, while the other lucky hire would basically get paid to be a professional dog kiss receiver.
Honestly… there are probably plenty of dog parents in Evansville who would do this job for free.
The catch? The job posting doesn’t say how many hours the roles actually include, so this may be more of a hilarious side hustle than a full-time dream gig. Still, if you’re a dog person with a strong stomach and zero fear of slobber, this might be your moment. It's not mine, but now your left asking yourself, could it be yours?
But something else to keep in mind: getting paid big money to hang out at the dog park sounds a whole lot better than most Monday meetings.
