The Queen of Country Music

If you ask Google who the Queen of Country Music is you'll find many names of women who are more than deserving of that title, from Dolly Parton to Loretta Lynn to Reba McEntire.  Each of those women is more than deserving of the title.  However, if we are basing the title of "Queen" on numbers, Reba has more Top Ten singles and #1 country albums than any other female artist. So for today, let's go with Reba as our Queen of Country Music.

According to the Country Music Hall of Fame Reba grew up on an 8,000-acre cattle ranch with a dad who was a champion calf roper, and her mom who was a powerful singer and strong influence in Reba's music career.

“I’m trying to sing songs for women, to say for them what they can’t say for themselves. But I’m trying to do it for the eighties and nineties.” — Reba McEntire

Reba Themed Corn Mazes Popping Up All Over the U.S.

As September is here it's almost time for corn mazes to open up across the U.S.  This year you may notice that Reba was a popular feature for many of those corn mazes.  In fact, 40 corn mazes across 24 states will all have Reba's face on them.  So why is Reba such a popular theme for corn mazes this year?   Well, because Reba loves corn mazes, supporting local farms, and promoting her new book! Reba's new book, Not That Fancy: Simple Lessons on Living, Loving, Eating, and Dusting Off Your Boots will be out on October 10th.

The Maize is the company behind the Reba-themed corn mazes, and if you want to enjoy one of them, there are 3 of them across Indiana and Tennessee.
