A few years ago, we loaded up a United Coach and rolled out of town on our first-ever Hell on Wheels Tour. We took 56 listeners to the Louisville area to visit three haunted houses in one night.  We visited the Louisville's famed Haunted Hotel, Brandenburg's Nightmare Forest and an absolutely epic and theatrical haunt called The Devil's Attic.

While all three haunts scared the crap out of our guests, The Devil's Attic, with its undying (pardon the pun) commitment to makeup, theatrics and the horror classics was a crowd favorite.  And it continues to be.

I still remember my favorite scene from that night. It was a spot-on recreation of The Exorcist and the scene ended with a possessed Regan breaking free from her wrist restraints and leaping from her bed at the crowd.

It was CRAZY!!! And scary as crap. I will never forget my first trip through that haunt.  It was awesome.

Today, The Devil's Attic is considered Kentucky's Most Award-Winning Haunted Attraction.

Here's why!

Just last year, The Devil's Attic was named Kentucky's Top Haunted House by FrightFind.com, a website for horror enthusiasts that names the best haunt in each state.

Here's what FrightFind had to say about The Devil's Attic:

Located in Louisville, Kentucky, The Devil’s Attic is the premier haunted attraction for the state amassing over 104 (we counted) horror industry awards since 2011.  This year aims to be the best yet when the Devil not only releases his damned army of souls but also grotesque versions of classic horror monsters that will terrify you to the end of the night and beyond!

The crew at The Devil's Attic are gearing up for their brand new season of scares and they shared this really eerie teaser trailer.

The Devil's Attic opens for the season on Friday, September 9th.  General admission tickets are $25 or you can purchase a Speedpass for $35. You can purchase advance tickets online.

The Devil's Attic is located at 647 West Hill Street in downtown Louisville, Kentucky.
