Nearly 30 years later, Taylor Hanson is putting a sweet new spin on one of the biggest songs of the ’90s.

If you grew up in the ’90s, there are certain songs that only need about three seconds before your brain immediately knows what’s coming.

“MMMBop” is absolutely one of them.

Nearly 30 years after Hanson had basically everyone singing “MMMBop, ba duba dop” whether they wanted to or not, Taylor Hanson has brought the song back in a way I definitely did not have on my 2026 bingo card.

“MMMBop” Has Officially Become “MMMBites”

Taylor Hanson teamed up with King’s Hawaiian to put a new spin on the 1997 hit, appropriately calling it “MMMBites.”

Yes, “MMMBites.”

The new version was released Wednesday, September 9, as part of a campaign celebrating King’s Hawaiian’s new Soft Swirl Cinnamon Bites.

And honestly, once you hear the name, it makes almost too much sense. If any ’90s song was destined to eventually become a song about bite-sized snacks, apparently it was “MMMBop.”

According to PEOPLE, Hanson has had opportunities to reinvent the song over the years, but Taylor said none of them felt quite right until this one came along.

I have to give them some credit. They managed to go nearly three decades before officially turning one of the biggest songs of the ’90s into a snack jingle.

Somehow, “MMMBop” Is Almost 30 Years Old

Now for the part that may make you feel a little old.

The version of “MMMBop” most of us remember was released in 1997, when Taylor was still a teenager performing alongside his brothers Isaac and Zac.

The song became a massive hit and has remained one of those tracks that can instantly transport you back to the late ’90s.

Fast-forward to 2026, Taylor is now 43, “MMMBop” is closing in on its 30th anniversary, and somehow we have reached the cinnamon-bite chapter of its history.

Taylor Hanson Is Leaning Into the Nostalgia in 2026

“MMMBites” isn't the only reason Hanson fans may be seeing a familiar face this year.

Taylor is also joining Season 35 of *Dancing with the Stars*, giving anyone who grew up listening to Hanson another dose of ’90s nostalgia in 2026.

It is kind of wild to think that a song released almost three decades ago can still pop back into our lives in completely unexpected ways. This time, it just happens to come with cinnamon.

Now I need to know what you think: Is “MMMBites” a fun nostalgic remake, or is “MMMBop” one of those songs that should have been left untouched?

Either way, I apologize in advance because there is a very good chance “MMMBop” will now be stuck in your head for the rest of the day.
