I really wasn't sure what to expect when I first heard about a charity wiffle ball tournament being held for Dwayne Brantley and his family. I mean, I definitely expected people to come play and we all hoped a decent amount of money would be raised for Big D.

Believe me when I say I was awestruck when I rolled up to the Golfmoor Baseball fields! The parking lot was packed and hundreds of people were there! It certainly didn't seem like a first-time event that was organized in just a few weeks time. Dozens of teams signed up to play wiffle ball. The double elimination tournament started at 1pm and wrapped up 12 hours later at 1am.

And there were a bunch of things happening besides just wiffle ball. There were people playing cornhole, they were selling concessions and t-shirts, there was a silent auction and there was a dunk tank - all in an effort to raise for Big D. And to say it was a success would be a huge understatement. At the end of the night, event organizers were able to give Dwayne and his family a check for $7,000!
