Sunday Alcohol Sales in Indiana Wins in Senate 39 – 10
Yesterday, the Indiana Senate voted unanimously 39-10 to legalize Sunday alcohol sales.
Current Indiana businesses that already sell alcohol for at home consumption six days a week would be able to sell wine, beer, and liquor on Sunday's between noon and 8 pm under the Senate Bill 1.
Senator Ron Alting, R-Lafayette said this:
"Hoosiers want the convenience of buying alcohol on Sunday, and now is the time to pass this bill into law."
Indiana has been the only state in the country that doesn't allow adults 21+ to purchase alcohol at retail stores on Sundays.
