One southern Indiana animal rescue has come up with an egg-cellent fundraising idea this Easter!

Egg Your Yard with NewLife Rescue & Adoption

Getting all of the eggs ready for the Easter Bunny to deposit into the yard can be a real chore and sometimes getting them places around the yard for the kids can be an even bigger headache. Fortunately, NewLife Rescue & Adoption in Posey County is ready to help! They will egg your yard for a small donation fee.

Stuffing the Eggs and Hiding Them Too

Not only will NewLife fill the eggs with candy, but they will drop by your house and hide them in your yard for your family to find. You can get 30 eggs for $25, 50 eggs for $45, or 75 eggs for $70. Of course, all of the money raised goes to benefit the homeless animals in Posey County.

How to Sign Up to Be Egged

The eggings will take place on April 7th and 8th so the eggs are ready for hunting the following morning. You can email poseyhumane@hotmail.com. You can let them know how many eggs you would like, as well as the age of the children that will be hunting them - they will adjust the level of difficulting for the hunt based on age. You will also need to give them your name, address, and telephone number so they can text you prior to hiding the eggs.

Prefer to Help by Donating?

If you're like me and don't have a need for an Easter egg hunt, but would still like to help NewLife Rescue & Adoption, you can donate Easter candy to help them fill their eggs. Candy can be dropped off at the shelter during normal operating hours at 6500 Leonard Road in Mt. Vernon, Indiana. You could also always order candy online and have it shipped too!
