Back in 1993, Snoop Dogg released his debut solo album Doggystyle, which ended up being a big part of the soundtrack to my freshman year at USI. I have so many fond memories of driving around with my buddies, bumping to that album. I would never have imagined that 26 years later I would be talking about a Snoop Dogg lullaby album.

Snoop has released over 20 albums and sold millions of copies. He's been an actor, a sports commentator, a football coach, and been a TV co-host with Martha Stewart - so I guess a collection of lullabies doesn't seem that far-fetched after all.

The Rockabye Baby album, called Lullaby Renditions of Snoop Dogg will be available on December 6th and will cost you $17. It features kid-friendly versions of Snoop's hits like "Gin & Juice", "Drop It Like It's Hot" and "Doggy Dogg World". And don't worry parents, these are instrumental tracks. It is fun, though, to think about the lyrics as the sweet lullabies ease your kiddo to sleep.
