SmashMouth is the ‘Karen’ of Bands After Bashing Radio on Twitter
No matter what your profession is, there are things you probably don't like, or would like to change. This is how I'm trying to rationalize what played out on Twitter between Smash Mouth and radio DJs.
Part of our training in radio is learning how to summarize information in short sentences. Then we can we can let listeners know what's happening or a fun tidbit about the artist, over the 'Ramp' or intro of the song. The goal is to be entertaining without stepping on the vocals of a song. Some people don't like this, and I get it, if you were trying to hit play and record.
Does this change your opinion of the band?
You know who does appreciate radio? Jon Bon Jovi.
