Skip the Garage Sale and Donate Your Things to EVSC’s Hangers Instead

The EVSC's Student Clothing Resource, Hangers, is looking for the items you no longer want or need. They are currently accepting donations of housewares, furniture, exercise equipment, toys, etc that they will then in turn sell at their yard sale to raise money for Hangers. Hangers is a program of the EVSC Foundation that provides clothing to children in need within the EVSC. They provide shirts, pants, socks, undies, hats, gloves, coats and more to the kids that need it.

According to a Facebook Post from Hangers, they are accepting donations at the Academy of Innovative Studies located on Stringtown Road during the following days & times:

• Mondays 8am - 12pm
• Tuesdays 2pm - 6pm
• Saturdays 1pm - 3pm

The yard sale itself will take place in the small gymnasium of the Academy of Innovative Studies on Friday, August 2nd from 7am - 12pm and again 4pm - 7pm and then on Saturday, August 3rd from 7am - 12pm. Admission to the sale is just $2 with the proceeds going to help Hangers continue their mission, "to serve EVSC students in need with clothing and basic hygiene products, including uniform clothing, coats, and shoes. We believe every student attending school should feel confident in dress habits and appearance so they can focus on what is most important—their education." To learn more, please visit the Hangers Facebook page.
