Raising Cane's Could Be Coming to Evansville

Okay so it started as a normal day until my Morning Show partner Bobby dropped something in our Things To Know Before You Go sheet that stopped me dead in my tracks. All it said was "Raising Cane's." I looked at him and said what do you have in here about a Raising Cane's and he said Evansville is getting one. My jaw dropped and I let out a noise that I'm not entirely proud of, but honestly it was deserved.

Plans have officially been filed to bring a Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers location to Evansville, and people are already talking.

Here Is What We Know So Far

Documents were submitted Wednesday showing the proposed restaurant would be located at 7221 East Indiana Street, which is currently home to Roppongi Japanese Steak and Sushi. It's still unclear whether Roppongi would permanently close or relocate if the project moves forward. There are still a lot of unanswered questions, including any kind of timeline for when Raising Cane's could actually open its doors here.

If You Have Never Had Raising Cane's, Let Me Explain

If you've ever driven past a Cane's in another city you already know the fanbase is no joke. Between the chicken fingers, the Cane's sauce, and the Texas toast, this place has people loyal for a reason. I have my own Raising Cane's memories from road trips and college days and let's just say I was never mad about it. People around the Tri-State are already buzzing about the possibility of finally having one closer to home and honestly same.
