Popular Westside Evansville Pizza Restaurant Announces Plans to Relocate
Pizza King is one of the most popular restaurants in Evansville and Southern Indiana - and that's not just based on my personal opinion, it's a fact. The proof can be found in the results of just about any poll or survey about the best local restaurants in town, especially if you're talking about pizza or stroms. In fact, I believe the Pizza King stromboli is actually more popular than their pizza - I don't agree with that assessment, but I think that's how a majority of people feel.
Evansville 411 News recently shared a pretty big announcement on Facebook about the Pizza King restaurant on the west side is planning to relocate. Here's what the post says...
Evansville Development: Pizza King on Evansville's west side is on the move! According to documents submitted to the state, Pizza King Evansville is planning to move to 401 N St Joseph Avenue, which is the former home of Hett's Graphics. Pizza King is currently located at 220 N St Joseph Avenue. No word on a timeline for the move yet. Pizza King is also currently working to relocate their Weinbach Avenue location from 1033 to 1021 S Weinbach Avenue.
As someone who patronizes that Westside location on a regular basis, I am actually pretty excited about this news. I love my Westside Pizza King, but if you've been there, then you know it can be kinda tricky getting in and out of that location. And if you're familiar with the former Hett's building, you know that it seems to offer a little bit better access, although I do have some concerns about the amount of parking at the new location.
The fact is, whether they move a month from now, six months from now, or not at all, I'll still be getting our family's normal order of an extra large pepperoni (crumbled of course) pizza and a whole strom with no onions.
