Peeps Are Officially Coming Back for Easter 2021

According to the official countdown clock on the official website of Peeps, there are 53 days left until Easter.  And I have some news that's going to make you (well, some of you) scream, "Hallelujah!!"  Though production of "flavored marshmallow candy" was suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is good news on the Easter candy front.  Peeps are coming back for 2021!!

Just Born Quality Confections, the company that makes Peeps, has been tweeting out a variety of fun teasers on the @PeepsBrand Twitter page.

And, this is the fun! Peeps has announced two new flavors this year- Hot Tamales (Fierce Cinnamon) and the Froot Loops Flavored Pop.

Now, I realize that Peeps can be a rather divisive Easter treat. It seems people either love them (Me!) or hate them.  How do YOU feel about Peeps?

By the way, if you'd like to run a fun science experiment with Peeps, try this out.  Microwave one.  Or three.  A few years ago, we put  Peep in the microwave in the WBKR break room.  Here's what happens!

And, even more recently, Angel and I decided to see what happens when you microwave a Peeps Oreo.  We were curious if they would swell up too.
