Evansville Otters Pitcher Signs With Minnesota Twins
Nick McAuliffe Earns Big League Opportunity
The Evansville Otters have announced that right-handed pitcher Nick McAuliffe has officially had his contract purchased by the Minnesota Twins. It’s another exciting moment for the Otters organization and a reminder that talent right here in the Tri-State can absolutely rise to the highest level of the game.
Strong Season Led To This Moment
McAuliffe just started his professional career last year, appearing in a couple of games with the Sioux City Explorers before making his way to Evansville. Once he landed here, he quickly proved himself as a reliable arm – especially after a couple of key bullpen pieces moved on. From there, he stepped up in a big way and became a go-to pitcher late in games.
During the 2025 season, McAuliffe appeared in 39 games, racking up 54 strikeouts while issuing just 18 walks over 37.2 innings. He finished the season with a strong 3.11 ERA, showing consistency and composure every time he took the mound.

Before going pro, McAuliffe also made a name for himself at East Stroudsburg University, where he tallied an impressive 114 strikeouts over two seasons.
