Oak Hill Teachers Get Creative For ‘Rock Your School’ Day
Thousands of educators around the world, switched up their teaching plan and got creative with their classrooms, in order to raise student engagement. This was all part of the second annual Rock Your School event, hosted by Get Your Teach On. Several classrooms at Oak Hill Elementary school in Evansville participated, and invited us to be a part of their fun day!
knowing they are not alone, they are joining a community of teachers world-wide who are all challenging themselves to find new ways to engage their students.
We started our morning in Ms. Titus's classroom, where Bobby read Johnny Appleseed. She had the whole classroom decked out in an orchard theme, complete with cider!
Next, we were off to camp with Mrs. Clark's class!
In Mrs. Stafford's class, we were treated to a really cool weather presentation.
Next, we headed over to the sixth grade wing, where we enjoyed a 'Reading Latte' theme in Mrs. Cook's class.
Mrs. Williams gave us a taste of science, complete with hands on activities & lab coats.
We wrapped up our portion of 'Rock Your School' Day in Mr. Allen's Science class, where things got a little heated (Watch the video)!
I even found my mini me :)
We'd like to thank Mrs. Zimmer and her faculty for letting us join them for this super fun learning experience!
