New Tim Ash Album ‘Saved by Love’ Set to Be Released this April
In early 2013, when Tim Ash decided to leave a country music career to fulfill a longing in his heart, he had no idea where his journey would take him. Fast forward to 2017, the former Country Music Association (CMA) member is now the Director of Contemporary Worship at Newburgh United Methodist Church.
I had a chance to chat with Tim about his time in country music and what lead him to decide to leave country music and how his life has changed.
"I've lived in Evansville pretty much my entire career. There's a guy like me(sort of) on every corner in Nashville, but only a few of us here. [In 2013] I left country music because all the doors were closing for me. I was never really the "beer drinking, pick up truck driving" guy anyway. Always more of a singer/songwriter. [Now] life is great! I have an awesome wife, wonderful kids and I work as a worship director at NUMC so I basically love people and play music for a living! What more could I ask for?"
With four country albums under his belt, Tim thought it was time to get back in the studio and record a contemporary worship album, Saved By Love.
"I had no plans to ever record again. I just started waking up with these new songs in my head back in August of 2016 and now here we are. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to be an "artist" anymore, but honestly, my hope for this project is to just bless people. To send out the message that I've always tried to convey. And that's to just love each other! I would love to get a writing/publishing/artist deal and see these songs and their message go all around the world.
Join Tim Ash for the release of Saved By Love Friday, April 21, 2017, at Newburgh United Methodist Church located at 4178 Highway 261, Newburgh, IN. Doors open at 6 p.m. and a free show starts at 6:30 p.m.
