You might bite into more than you bargained for when indulging in edible cookie dough.

Last month, a massive recall for Nestlé Toll House Cookie Dough that affected ready-to-bake refrigerated products was issued. This recall was not just for Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky, but the entire United States. According to nestleusa.com, a voluntary recall was issued for these cookie dough products due to "the potential presence of white plastic pieces." Now, Nestlé Toll House has issued another recall over a product that could be in your refrigerators.

Nestlé Toll House Edible Cookie Dough Recall

Nestlé Toll House has issued a voluntary nationwide recall over its Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough products. First off, if you have never tried these, you are missing out. However, you might want to make sure that your tub isn't a part of this recall because the recalled products have the potential presence of a soft plastic film. According to the FDA:

This voluntary recall is isolated to three batches of Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough tubs from NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® that were produced August 1-3, 2022. These products were distributed to retailers nationwide. This recall does not involve any other NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® products, including other varieties of Edible cookie dough or Ready-to-Bake cookie dough.

At this time, no illnesses or injuries have been reported from this recall. The FDA took action "out of an abundance of caution after a small number of consumers contacted Nestlé USA about this issue."

If you find that you do have one of the recalled products at home, you are asked not to consume the edible cookie dough. You should return the product to the retailer where it was purchased for a replacement or refund, according to the FDA.
