ADELINE is our Pet of the Week, sponsored by Evansville Pet Sitters. She's a special girl with special needs and she's at It Takes a Village, waiting for you.

ADELINE is a 1.5 year old beagle who was surrendered to ITV when she developed hind end paralysis. The vet does not believe ADELINE will recover fully from this, though she has shown some improved ability to stand recently. ITV has a wheelchair that ADELINE enjoys using. With room to run, she can really move! Because of her situation, ADELINE has issues with her bowels and bladder. ADELINE bonds hard with her people and will scoot around to reach them and do those excited beagle bays! She does well with other dogs and we believe she would do well with cats too. Adeline’s ideal home would be with someone who is retired or works from home; once you get a routine established, her care is really not that time consuming. ADELINE is also available for fostering if you would like to see if she’s a good fit for your household.

Remember, all of the animals at ITV are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.
