Two Signature Sundaes Compete in Lic’s Inaugural Ice Cream Bowl
When it comes to planning a party for the big game in February, the menu always includes things like pizza, wings, chips, and dips. But what about dessert? Where's the love for ice cream? Well, Lics Deli & Ice Cream has the answer!
What Is The Lic’s Ice Cream Bowl?
Lic's is celebrating the big game in the best way they know how - by creating a signature sundae for each team taking the field - and then putting them head to head in the first ever ICE CREAM BOWL!
But it's more than just an excuse to eat some yummy ice cream - the Ice Cream Bowl is a competition! Between now and the big game on Sunday, February 8th, stop by any area Lic's location and purchase one of the signature sundaes. The treat with the most sales will be crowned the inaugural Ice Cream Bowl Champion!
Let's meet the competitors...
New England Classic
Representing the East Coast and the AFC is this perfectly patriotic sundae. The New England Classic features Cappuccino ice cream, hot fudge, crushed waffle cones, whipped cream, and it's topped with red and blue sprinkles with an American flag planted on top. Seattle Sloo
Representing the Northwest and the NFC is this juggernaut called the Seattle Sloo. It features mint chocolate chip ice cream, crushed chocolate chip cookies, hot fudge, whipped cream, and it's topped with green sugar crystals and blue sprinkles. Callie and I were given the difficult task (100% sarcasm) of sampling these sweet treats. I can tell you they are both friggin' delicious! Do I have a favorite? Yeah, I think I do. You can probably tell by my reaction in the video below.
Lic's has 7 Tristate locations - four in Evansville, one in Newburgh, one in Vincennes, and one in Owensboro. Oh, and when you stop by, you can guess the final score of the real game for a chance to win free ice cream for a year!
