Indiana County Fair Drops Rides Over Safety Concerns
The 2025 Lawrence County 4-H Fair is happening July 5-12, and it's shaping up to be a week full of fun, food, and community spirit. Held in Bedford, Indiana, this beloved fair will once again shine a spotlight on local 4-H youth as they showcase their animal projects and the wide range of exhibits they’ve worked on over the past year.
Entertainment Every Night at the Grandstand
The Grandstand will be the site of exciting entertainment each night of the fair - fan favorites like the Demo Derby, Rodeo, Pig Scramble, and Tractor Pull. As always, there will also be free entertainment in the park and music to enjoy throughout the week.

And a county fair wouldn’t be a county fair without all the yummy fair food. Choose from icy lemon shake-ups, buttery corn on the cob, and creamy cool ice cream. Be sure to stop by the Expo Hall for shopping from a variety of vendors, and the best part - parking is free!
A Tough Call - No Carnival in 2025
In addition to all of this exciting information, fair organizers also announced a bit of bittersweet news. There will NOT be a carnival at the 2025 Lawrence County Fair. The Fair Board made the tough decision after extensive searching across the Tri-State area. Unfortunately, none of the available carnival options met their standards for safety, availability, and affordability.
Fair Board Focused on Community and Safety
There’s no doubt that the rides will be missed, but there is still plenty to look forward to. The Fair Board wants the community to stay informed and involved, and they’re excited to deliver another great fair experience.
