Last night my beloved book club besties got together for our annual Christmas party. The Fabulous Ladies Reading Club, established in 2014, meets once a month throughout the year, and every December we do a special potluck edition and ornament exchange.

This year, the potluck had a theme as everyone was encouraged to bring a dip. We had spinach and artichoke, buffalo chicken, and baked brie to name a few of the delicious dishes, but the star of the show, in my opinion, was the sweet and fluffy dessert dip my friend Jacqueline Russell made.  Look how adorable she is with her matching sweatshirt! She ALWAYS understands the assignment.

Christmas Tree Cakes Are the Best Little Debbie Snack

I have a serious obsession with Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes. I don't know what that woman puts in those things, but they have become one of my favorite things about the holidays. Come to think of it, I don't know that I have ever met someone who didn't like them, so I feel like I have to share this recipe that had me going back for seconds at our Christmas party.

Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake Dip Recipe

This recipe is so easy, you could definitely change it up any way you'd like or double it for a larger crowd.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes = 5 cakes come in a box
  • 1 8-oz. Package Cream Cheese
  • 1/3 Cup Milk
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 8-oz. Tub Whipped Topping
  • Red & Green Sprinkles

Directions:

1. Take the cream cheese out of the fridge and let it soften for an hour or so before mixing all of your wet ingredients.

2. Put everything but the cakes and sprinkles into a bowl and combine with an electric mixer until smooth and fluffed up.

3. Tear four of the cakes into smaller pieces and combine them into the mixture. You can decide how long to mix these in based on how chunky you want it to be. In my opinion, it's good to leave some bigger pieces because you can taste the cake bits a lot better.

4. Pour the dip into a nice serving dish. Jacqueline used one in the shape of a Christmas tree which was so cute.

5. Sprinkle on the sprinkles and top with the fifth Christmas Tree cake in the center.

6. Serve with animal crackers, Nilla wafers, or graham crackers as a vehicle for the deliciousness.

7. Enjoy being everyone's favorite person at the party!

Here is a video tutorial I found on YouTube that shows the steps, but this is so easy even I can do it!
