Huge Indoor Rummage Sale to Benefit Western Kentucky Homeless Shelter

This sale is set to be the BIGGEST yet! You'll find thousands of lightly used clothing, toys, books, shoes, and accessories at the My Sister's Keepers Fall Rummage Sale. Angel Welsh, Founder/Executive Director for My Sister's Keeper, has been working hard behind the scenes to get this much-needed shelter open in Owensboro, and it's super close. While shelter construction continues, fundraising efforts ramp up. This weekend is a big sale where you benefit too! If you can't make it to the sale and still want to support the mission, many items are still needed ahead of the Grand Opening of the shelter. Check out the Amazon Wish List below!

My Sister’s Keeper Women and Children Shelter will offer an array of services to help homeless women and children improve their lives when they open their doors.

WHAT IS MY SISTER'S KEEPER?

My Sister’s Keeper Emergency Shelter's mission is to improve the lives of women and children of all ages experiencing homelessness by providing emergency shelter, basic temporary needs, safety, support, education, tools, and resources that empower them to improve the quality of their lives, help to equip them with the skills to achieve self-sufficiency and build safe, secure lives.

HELP WOMEN & CHILDREN AT THE SHELTER

My Sister’s Keeper Women and Children Shelter still needs meals served if you can help. Meals will need to be prepared for 16-20 people. You can cook whatever you choose, but try to stay "children-friendly".

All of the meals will need to be ready to serve no later than 7 p.m. each night.

MY SISTER'S KEEPER FALL RUMMAGE SALE

My Sister's Keeper has received donations from many people in the community which pays off for you. The sale includes toys, clothing, books, purses, accessories, bedding, and more. Nothing will be over $5. You never know what you'll find. And, the best part is that every cent goes towards funding My Sister’s Keeper Emergency Shelter. You get to treasure hunt while helping a great cause!

Friday, November 3rd, 2023 from 2:30 until 6 p.m.
Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 8 until 11 a.m.

The sale is taking place at 731 Jackson Street in Owensboro. Payments will be accepted in the form of cash, Venmo, or PayPal only.
