There is a hidden gem in Odon, Indiana, known as the Odon Locker. A quick trip up Interstate 69 and a right at the Odon exit, and you've found one of Indiana's hidden gems. Primarily known for their meat processing, Odon Locker also has a deli and grocery. When you first walk into the locker, you'll notice the signage for each area: pork, beef, chicken, fish, and seafood. I absolutely love how easy it is to find what you're looking for. The deli spans an entire wall, and their grocery has a small variety of everyday necessities, but the real draw for me is the not-so-common items. For example, rendered beef tallow is a tough cooking ingredient to find, but not at Odon Locker! If you're lucky, you can catch the pork tenderloin before it sells out. They offer a variety of dry pastas, jerky, chips, dressings, pickles, sauces, and more. As a locally owned small business, new items are popping up all the time. Recently, I was surprised and delighted to see smoked dog bones for only six dollars! They have a unique selection of summer sausage, which is my personal favorite. Right now, they're selling DIY deer summer sausage kits. Each kit comes with summer sausage seasoning and casings.
