‘Murder Capital’ St. Louis Named Most Family-Friendly City in US

How times change. St. Louis, Missouri which has been declared a 'murder capital' every other week has just been given a new title - Most family-friendly city in America.

This is the best example I know of that proves my point that the internet cannot make up its collective mind about what narrative it wants to champion every other week. I could give you dozens of 'murder capital' stories about St. Louis, but here's something completely different. Study Finds just named St. Louis the #1 most family-friendly city in the United States.

The article says it's based on a study by Backyard Oasis which measured "healthcare quality, safety, cost of living, and access to education" to determine where families would be happiest. St. Louis, Missouri came out on top. Yay!

For the record, I wholeheartedly agree with the praise St. Louis is getting for being family-friendly. I have railed for years against the constant focus on the crime rate and murders which everyone knows that lives in our near St. Louis is primarily in specific crime hotspots and not the entire suburban area.

The City Museum, the St. Louis Zoo...so many great things for family-oriented people to occupy themselves with in the big city.

Sure, if you end up in the wrong place at the wrong time, bad things can and do happen in St. Louis. Just don't underestimate all the family things you can do there, too.
