It's obvious that the era of the big shopping mall has come and gone. No location proves that point more than an abandoned Illinois mall that explorers just discovered is now overtaken by toxic black mold.

I saw this brand new video just shared by Lord Explores on YouTube. It's an urban exploration of what little remains inside of what used to be the Sandburg Mall in Galesburg, Illinois. Water damage has caused dangerous black mold to take over nearly every nook and cranny of what used to be a vital shopping place in Galesburg.

WARNING: Under no circumstances should you enter this property. By doing so you risk bodily harm and/or prosecution for trespassing on private property.

I don't know if these two investigators had permission to be inside this mall, but going inside of a place like this is a dangerous proposition even on a good day. Not even factoring in possible criminal trespassing trouble, the decay of this mall with the black mold is a health hazard. This is one of the urban exploration channels I don't mind sharing content from as they leave the properties untouched and don't mess with anything. That being said, I don't recommend any amateurs attempt something like this - ever.
