Interactive Screening On The 25th Anniversary of “A League of Their Own”
I remember when many of my friends were headed down to Bosse Field to be an extra for A League of Their Own back in 1992. That was a fun experience for our community and we are celebrating it 25 years later!
A League of Their Own” 25 Year Celebration is coming to the Historic Bosse Field on Saturday, September 30th, 2017 from 5pm-11pm. Joe Notter is at it again by bringing us another fun family friendly event full of activities, reenactments and an interactive screening of the movie on a large screen set in the field. The event is a great way to bring the "movie back to life."
Things you can expect:
-Local softball talent from University of Evansville
-Local/regional actors/extras from the film
-Bouncy houses, face painting, games and activities for the kids
-$2 popcorn all evening(NOTE THIS CHANGE)
-Specialty craft and draft beers
-Group photo session for the extras and actors at 4:30pm. Please rsvp to get in early. You must be an extra or actor from the film or their guests.
-Interactive screening of the blockbuster hit movie “A League of Their Own” on the big screen (begins at dusk).
-Best 40’s dress contest for children, men and women.
-Children 4 and under are FREE
A portion of the ticket sales will go to the University of Evansville's needed renovations of Cooper Stadium.
