A Star is Born is one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I knew it was a remake but I didn't realize that was a remake of a remake.

The original movie was from 1937, then was remade in 1954. The 1976 version starred Chris Christopherson and Barbara Streisand hit it big. According to Wikipeida

At the 34th Golden Globe Awards it won five awards; Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Best Actress (for Streisand), Best Actor (for Kristofferson), Best Original Score and Best Original Song (for "Evergreen"). At the 49th Academy Awards, it received four nominations winning Best Original Song (for "Evergreen")

Then the 2018 version was born and oh my god it is good! Not good, like gooooooood. It is a great movie as a stand-alone but the fact that is has so much history makes it rich.

I found this really cool video of a vlogger explaining the similarities and differences of the movies in terms of character development and depth. You have to check it out. PS: I actually sat through the entire 18 minutes. I rarely do that.
