For Christmas, my mother-in-law gave me a Sherpa hoodie. I love it; it's so warm you feel like a chicken that's roasting. You feel like someone is giving you a big, soft hug. You feel like your skin has been turned inside out and bathed in warm butter.

But, after a few washes, it didn't feel like that anymore. I was so sad because it was so wonderfully soft! So, I took to the internets to find out how to get my Sherpa and fleeces fix again.

  1. First off - quit washing your hoodies. Unless your kid vomits spaghetti on you, spot clean that sucker.
  2. When you do HAVE to wash it, use the quick gentle cycle it in cold water and don't use fabric softener.
  3. Air dry your Sherpa or Fleece.
  4. When it's done, use a bristle brush and gently comb it out in all directions.

Here's the one I purchased for my Sherpa. Now, I use it on my own hair too!
