Evansville's Germania Mannerchor Offers Lenten Fish Fries

The Lenten season is here, and that means different things for different people - but the one thing that Lent means for everybody is the opportunity to eat some delicious fish. The folks at Germania Männerchor are bringing back their legendary Lenten Fish Fries, starting this Friday, March 7th!

Germania Mannerchor, located at 916 N. Fulton Avenue on Evansville's westside, will be open from 4:45 PM to 7:00 PM, and everyone is invited to the fish fries. Come to one or come to all four of them - March 7th, March 21st, April 4th, and April 18th!

Germania Männerchor was founded in 1900 by a group of individuals dedicated to sharing their passion with others. Based in Evansville, we are an active and enthusiastic German Men's Chorus with events and activities taking place year-round. We like to keep up the energy and excitement, always welcoming new members to take part. Simply put, we love getting together to do what we love.

How Much Does a Lenten Fish Dinner Cost

The cost of these delicious meals is just $15, and as you would expect from Germania Mannerchor, you get a bunch of food for your money. Here is everything you get...TWO breaded and deep-fried fish filets, your choice of German OR American potato salad, baked OR green beans, creamy coleslaw, and a slice of rye bread.

If that seems like a bit too much grub, you can also choose a ONE-filet meal for just $13. A third meal option is a fish sandwich with one side for $12. Some sweet treats will also be available for purchase if you've got room!

You are more than welcome to stay and enjoy your fish dinner downstairs in the Rathskeller, or grab a seat upstairs in the Fest Halle. But if you would rather enjoy your fish feast at home, that's totally fine too - carry-out is available.
