Has The Food Network Replaced Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?
Every Friday night the fam and I watch Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on The Food Network. But now there is a new show in its time slot, and the host is not The Mayor of Flavortown.
The Food Networks New Series: Best Bite In Town
So, if you sat down to watch Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on The Food Network Friday at 8:00 pm, and realized that a new show was on instead, you probably freaked out a little bit.
Best Bite in Town is simply an extension of Guy Fieri's extensive talent palette. The Mayor of Flavortown doesn't just host shows on The Food Network, he is also behind the scenes with his other business ventures like Knuckle Sandwich and Citizen Pictures, producing shows for The Food Network.
Is This The End Of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives?
This new series is not replacing Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, it's simply another way to showcase America's local restaurants and their best dishes.

Best Bite in Town Synopisis
Guy Fieri has recruited Noah Cappe and some of his celebrity chef friends to check out local hot spots that he hasn't had a chance to visit. The chefs chat with the restaurant owners, much like what we see on Triple D, minus Guy. The other big difference is the competition to be the Best Bite in Town. The best dishes are taste-tested and in the end, only one restaurant can have the Best Bite in Town!
