The 98th annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival kicks off October 7th and as always, Franklin Street will be lined up and down both sides with food booths run by local non-profits looking to feed your face and raise money for their organization. Many of those food booths rely on the generosity of volunteers donating their time to get the job done, including the Evansville Rescue Mission who are currently seeking additional help.

The downtown Evansville homeless shelter is in need of around 23 volunteers to serve their mac 'n' cheese for a variety of shifts during the week. If you or someone you know would like to help, the Rescue Mission has setup an online sign up sheet through SignupGenius.com.
